I was born in Staffordshire in 1961 and I moved to Hampshire in 1982 to join the Constabulary. I have worked across the county but I have always has a particular love for working in Southampton. I first worked here in 1985 and since then I have returned to the city many times. I was delighted to return again in December 2007 to command the policing of the city.

I have immense pride in my staff who work for the people of Southampton and my commitment is to make sure that the policing we deliver in the city makes the people of Southampton feel safe and feel proud of their police service. We can deliver that service best if we do it in partnership with other agencies and with the community so I take my role on the Southampton Partnership very seriously.
