Martin Pryor
![]() | Martin took on responsibility for the delivery of Jobcentre Plus services, in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, in April 2006. Previously he worked in the Department for Work and Pensions, as a Programme Manager, implementing the Government’s Welfare Reform agenda across the UK. He has 36 years experience of developing employment and skills policy and operational delivery, including time in the Department for Employment and Skills; the Manpower Services Commission; the Training Agency (including time delivering a programme designed to develop Vocational Education in schools) and 2 years as a Director of Training in the South London Training & Enterprise Council. Martin has returned to the south coast after spending 12 years living and working in Sheffield. He is fully committed to ‘joined up’ public service, “I passionately believe we, in the partnership, have a golden opportunity to build on our achievements and develop a more integrated and effective employment and skills service for our citizens and employers in Southampton.”
