Malcolm le Bas
![]() | Southampton born, Malcolm, a retired solicitor, spent 46 years with Paris Smith & Randall in the City. He chaired Southern Newspapers and Alldays Stores Pension Funds and was a Governor of Southampton Institute. He was Chairman of Trojans Club and was on the Executive Committee of Hampshire CCC, later Secretary of Rose Bowl plc. He led the development projects for St Mary's Stadium and the Rose Bowl. He was secretary to the Wessex Body Scanner Appeal and founder Trustee of Wessex Neurological Trust and Asthma Allergy and Inflammation Charity. He is vice-chairman of Mayflower Theatre Trust and serves on the regional Council of the Prince's Trust. He is a Trustee of Wessex Cancer Trust and Wessex Medical Trust and chairs Sector Services, a local charity training the mentally disabled. Now Chairman of Business Southampton, he is anxious to promote the best interests of the City, its Region and its businesses
