Jacqui Rayment is born and bred in Southampton and is the Deputy Leader of Southampton Labour Group. She has been a councillor for the past 11 years and in that time she has held numerous positions and has had Cabinet responsibility for Social Services, Health, City Safety and Policing. Jacqui is the current Chair of H.P.A. having been appointed as SCC representative some 10 years ago.

On the Police Authority she is the Lead Member for Protective Services, Collaboration Call Management and she chairs the Performance Committee. Jacqui has recently taken over as South East Regional Chair on the Protective Services Board.
