Local Area Agreement

Southampton's 2008 - 2011 Local Area Agreement was approved by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on the 1st July 2008. It comprises of 34 'designated' targets; 16 'statutory' targets and a number of local indicators carried forward from the city's previous 2007 - 2010 LAA. The designated targets were refreshed in early 2009 and Southampton received notification on the 9th April 2009 that the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government had approved them. Progress on delivering the LAA is monitored by the Southampton Partnership Delivery Board through quarterly monitoring reports.
