Closing the Gap

Southampton's Local Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy identifies 11 Priority Neighbourhoods in the city which suffer from levels of deprivation and disadvantage through below average performance on a range of indicators including educational attainment, income, employment and crime. Each of these Priority Neighbourhoods has its own dedicated action plan and performance on 'closing the gap' across the city is reported to the Southampton Partnership on an annual basis.
