Specific Strategies and Initiatives
LA21 consultation ‘Success Breeds Success’throughout 2006 SSF held a community consultation to follow up on one five years earlier. The aim of the 2 consultations were to establish a snapshot of knowledge and experience within the city and gain a greater understanding of the aims, aspirations and concerns of the community.
We consider it important for SSF to comment upon any key documents that may affect sustainability in Southampton. We always welcome comments from our Members so that these too can be included in any response that we make.
The main objectives of the SSF are:
1. Provide free membership for all to share information and activities via events, the internet, and the newsletter.
2. Encourage public involvement in activities in the city.
3. Promote sustainable development to decision making bodies.
4. Develop projects to promote a sustainable city.
