Southampton Information, Training & Employment Services (SITES)
SITES is a partnership of the local agencies and organisations that provide employment and training support to Southampton residents.
The SITES network links together organisations who work together to tackle the key issue of reducing the high levels of worklessness across the city, addressing skills shortages and reaching those who live in priority neighbourhoods. The partnership is overseen by a board of around 20 members, with representatives from each key sector that contributes to the aims of SITES. This includes organisations from the public, private and business sectors, education and training providers, as well as voluntary and community groups. The partnership is supported by Southampton City Council.
Aims to:
· Provide a coordinated approach to skills shortages, labour market issues and social inclusion in the Southampton area.
· Through the work of providers and partners, reach people from disadvantged backgrounds, as well as those who live within the priority neighbourhoods of Southampton to increase their employability and skill levels.
SITES has agreed Terms of Reference.
